Throughout my time in NZ I traveled all over the country side. All through the north island you would see fruit orchids, vineyards, vegetable crops and berry farms as far as the eye could see. But to my surprise most of my family and friends I stayed with had vegetable gardens in their backyards! Herbs, Vegies and Fruit were all fresh and ready to be picked just out the back door step.
I was also surprised at this time of year (January) the quality of, wild fennel, nasturtiums, wood sorrel, rocket flowers, wild garlic, wild watercress and many other edible flowers and herbs were around compared to the same time in Australia.
This is a collection of photo's from my family and friends gardens. Would be great to see more of this back home!
